E-books powered by Overdrive
Registered library members with valid cards may access and download
library eBooks and audio books via the
Overdrive website (https://westerncape.overdrive.com/)
OR the Libby App on a smart devices / tablet.

Accessing Overdrive
- Select sign in (website) / Add library card (Libby app)
- Overdrive website: select City of Cape Town
- Libby app: enter your branch name to search for your library
- Username: Enter your City of Cape Town 14-digit library
- card barcode number (no spaces)
- PIN: Last 6 digits of your City of Cape Town library
- card number (no spaces)
Borrowing Privileges
- 2 items for 14 days
- 1 Renewal
- 3 Holds / Reservations
Please contact your local library when experiencing any login problems.
Note: Expired / Invalid cards must first be renewed and updated at your library to gain access to the Overdrive site. Updates to card details takes 5 working days to reflect. Access to Overdrive / Libby app will only be available after this period.
